Clever girl’s head whipped up as she smelled something near. Something familiar…food. Food. Something bit and fat…and bovine.
Snarling under her breath, she cooed at her babies to wait there, before she stood up and stretched. The cooler weather would slow her down a bit…she’d never experienced the cold before. Shaking herself off, she stalked into the woods, using the dead brush around her to stalk this prey. It didn’t take her long to find it…and she growled out softly in surprise.
Like the ones the humans fed her and her pack back at the park.
Her lips curled up into a wicked snarl. This was perfect…! The deer in the area were becoming scarce…and her pack was succumbing to this odd cold day by day…this fat cow would surely fatten them up. She waited until the cow settled down a bit…before launching with a deafening shriek. Soon, her own shrieking was joined in by the cow’s painful ones, as her claws dug into it’s hide, as she clawed and bit and tore at it’s hide. The cow’s blood spilled down onto the white ground, and soon it’s intestines with it.
One slice of her sickle claw to the cow’s neck silenced it for good, and it fell with a sick thump onto the cold ground.
'Clever girl' stood over it, claws digging into it's hide, as she barked out for her pack to come, trilling out as she started scarfing down the intestines—her favorite part. And yet, amid the blood and gore…she smelled a familiar scent. Pulling away from the cow, she sniffed around it, moving up to the rope she then smelled where the scent was coming from. And a smirk appeared on her scaly lips.
Had he delivered the cow?
Looking around, and smelling the air, she saw and smelled that he was no longer there. Probably too far away to chase. Still, she barked out and trilled out to him where ever he would be, before turning to hear her pack and her babies arriving.
She’d had to come up with a way to thank him later…

Velociraptor (/vɨˈlɒsɨræptər/; meaning ‘swift seizer’) is a genus of dromaeosaurid theropod dinosaur that lived approximately 75 to 71 million years ago during the later part of the Cretaceous Period. Two species are currently recognized, although others have been assigned in the past. The type species is V. mongoliensis; fossils of this species have been discovered in Mongolia. A second species, V. osmolskae, was named in 2008 for skull material from Inner Mongolia, China.
Smaller than other dromaeosaurids like Deinonychus and Achillobator, Velociraptor nevertheless shared many of the sameanatomical features. It was a bipedal, feathered carnivore with a long tail and an enlarged sickle-shaped claw on each hindfoot, which is thought to have been used to kill its prey. Velociraptor can be distinguished from other dromaeosaurids by its long and low skull, with an upturned snout.
Velociraptor (commonly shortened to ‘raptor’) is one of the dinosaur genera most familiar to the general public due to its prominent role in the Jurassic Park motion picture series. In the films it was shown with anatomical inaccuracies, including being much larger than it was in reality and without feathers. It is also well known to paleontologists, with over a dozen described fossil skeletons—the most of any dromaeosaurid. One particularly famous specimen preserves a Velociraptorlocked in combat with a Protoceratops.
Aaaaand that third shot made me shed a bloody tear.
Jurassic Park 1993
When I was first coming up with movie ideas to use for this project I had a bunch of friends helping me think of movie titles. Jurassic Park is the only movie where they all referenced a specific scene so I knew I had to do it. I used a blue gel with a grid spotlight on the left, and some fill light on the right.
